Statistics
The purpose of the statistics compiled by the Kela is to serve the continued development of social protection in Finland. They illustrate, in numbers, the role that social security plays in meeting the income security needs of people in different situations of life.
In addition, they provide information about the level and prevalence of various benefits as well as about their regional and demographic distribution.
Kela maintains 25 different statistics, all of which – with the exception of the demographic statistics – are part of the Official Statistics of Finland. For a breakdown of the statistics by life situation, see the ‘Statistics by topic’ page.

Statistical database Kelasto
Kelasto is a statistical database that contains key statistical information about the social security schemes administered by Kela, the Social Insurance Institution of Finland. With Kelasto you can create custom reports from the statistical data compiled by Kela.
