How to claim

First, register as unemployed job seeker with the employment office.

• Fill in Kela form Claim for Basic Unemployment Allowance / Labour Market Subsidy (TT 1e).
• Attach to the application work certificates and pay slips for the period when you met the condition regarding previous employment
• Take the application to Kela office. You can also send it by post.
• Claims can be backdated by up to 3 months.

After you have been issued Basic Unemployment Allowance, you must renew your status as an unemployed job seeker by reporting regularly to Kela. For this purpose use the form Unemployment status report (TT 2e).
