Payment

Basic Unemployment Allowance is paid to your bank account in instalments for 4 weeks. The first instalment is for 2 weeks. The payment is based on the unemployment status report that you must fill in every 4 weeks either on the TT2e form or online.

The allowance is paid for a maximum of 500 days. The allowanc is paid for 5 days a week.

Waiting period

The Basic Unemployment Allowance is payable after completion of a waiting period. You must have been registered as an unemployed job seeker with the employment office for at least 7 working days in order to qualify for the allowance. The waiting period need not be completed in one stretch. All days of unemployment within any period of 8 consecutive calendar weeks count.
