Interest on student loans

Kela can pay the interest due on a student loan during conscript service or during the month in which the service ends. This requires that you have not received financial aid in the academic year in which the interest is due, or in the previous academic year. If you have, the interest is capitalized, and there is a 1% margin that you have to pay yourself.

Assistance with student loan interest can be paid on any banking day.
