Eligibility
To qualify for the Labour Market Subsidy, you must be between 17 and 64 years of age, resident in Finland and an unemployed jobseeker.
The subsidy is not paid for job seeking abroad. For an unemployed immigrant the subsidy is paid in the form of Integration Assistance.
Restrictions for persons under the age of 25
- Unemployed persons aged 17 who have not completed vocational training are entitled to the Labour Market Subsidy only when participating in labour market training or job training.
- Unemployed persons between 18 and 24 can be paid Labour Market Subsidy also between labour market measures as long as they have not turned down work or training offered by the employment office and have not neglected to apply to vocational training suitable for them.
If you have not completed vocational training, you must complete a 5-month qualifying period to get Labour Market Subsidy.
