How to claim
The Labour Market Subsidy is payable after you register with the employment office as an unemployed job seeker.
- Fill in Kela form Claim for Basic Unemployment Allowance / Labour Market Subsidy (TT 1e).
- Attach to the application study and/or work certificates (from the 28 months preceding the unemployment)
- Attach evidence of your income (for more details, see the application form)
- Take the application to Kela office. You can also send it by post.
- Claims can be backdated by up to 3 months.
The employment office issues a binding statement to Kela about whether you are considered to be an unemployed job seeker who is eligible for Labour Market Subsidy.
After you have been issued Labour Market Subsidy, you must renew your status as an unemployed job seeker by reporting regularly to Kela. For this purpose use the form Unemployment status report (TT 2e).
