Changes to Kela’s services in Helsinki


The Vuosaari and Malmi offices will see changes in customer service starting January 2018.

Starting 8 January 2018, the Kela office in Vuosaari will be open between 9:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday. Incoming customers are met by a customer service advisor who will direct them to the best way to get service.

Customers can

  • access online services
  • contact telephone assistance
  • book an appointment for an office visit or for phone service.
  • visit a service point
  • drop off an application or supporting document.

It is also possible to schedule an appointment with the Vuosaari office. Scheduling an appointment is a particularly good idea for customers whose circumstances have changed and who need help claiming benefits. With a scheduled appointment, Kela’s customer service specialists can look at each customer’s situation in advance. Starting 12 January 2018, Kela’s office in Malmi will stay open between 9:00 and 16:00 Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, customer service will be available by appointment only.
