Kela offers customers a call-back option
Starting 2 January 2018, the customer service number for issues related to moving to or away from Finland will offer the option to request a callback. Callbacks are offered whenever there is existing capacity to return the call.
Many of Kela’s customer service numbers have offered customers the possibility to request a callback. This option will now become available also for issues having to do with moving to or from Finland. Customers calling when all lines are busy can choose between staying on hold and getting a callback. Those who opt for a callback can expect a call within the same day.
The customer service number for issues related to moving to or away from Finland will offer callbacks between 9 am and 2.30 pm in order to leave enough time to return calls within the same day. With all other customer service numbers, callbacks are available from 8 am. Callbacks are shown as originating from one of two phone numbers, either 020 692 219 or 020 634 1611. Customers who do not answer the call are sent a text message.
When circumstances change, a scheduled appointment is a good idea
Customers can also schedule an appointment for an office visit or for phone service. The appointment can be made by visiting www.kela.fi/appointments or by calling Kela’s customer service number. Customers must provide their name and personal identity code in order to make an appointment. Other government officials working with the customer, such as the social services, can also make an appointment with Kela on the customer’s behalf.
