The Kela office in Varissuo, Turku, has moved to a new location


The visiting address and opening hours of the Varissuo office have changed from 4 September 2017.

Customers are now served at the Skanssi shopping centre, Skanssinkatu 10. The new office provides service by pre-booked appointment on weekdays, but service without a booked appointment from Monday to Wednesday between 11am and 16pm and on Thursdays between 12 noon and 4pm.

The office is located on the 2nd floor of the shopping centre next to the Monitori citizen service centre. The citizen service centre is normally open until 6pm, and it also serves Kela’s customers.

Via Kela’s online customer service (www.kela.fi/asiointi) you can apply for almost all benefits and check for instance how the processing of your application progresses. To log in to the online customer service, use your online banking codes or a mobile ID.

In the online customer service you can

  • apply for Kela benefits
  • report changes in your circumstances and stop the payment of benefits
  • make changes to your bank account information
  • check if your application has been decided, how much you will be paid, and what the payment dates are
  • send messages concerning benefit matters.
