OmaKela is Kela’s e-service for individual customers.

Log in to the e-service using your online banking codes or a mobile certificate. Please note that our e-service is only available in Finnish and Swedish.

Managing your Kela-related affairs online is convenient, because you can do so anytime and anywhere. Your application and supporting documents reach Kela right away. In OmaKela, you can also see if any information or documentation is missing from your application.

You can use the OmaKela e-service to:

  • apply for benefits
  • send supporting documents
  • look up decisions on your applications
  • check payment dates and benefit amounts
  • report changes
  • send and read messages.

Frequently asked questions about the e-service

You cannot apply on someone else’s behalf

It is not yet possible to complete or send an application on someone else’s behalf. When you log in to OmaKela with your own personal credentials, any application you complete or transmit while there will automatically go into your record. Therefore, do not complete or send applications for someone else online.
