Changes to Kela’s services in Matinkylä

Kela’s service point in Matinkylä (located in the Iso Omena Service Centre at Suomenlahdentie 1) will stop using numbered queue tickets on 9 April 2018. Customers can instead conduct their business with Kela by contacting one of the customer service advisors standing by in the reception area. It is also possible to book an appointment with the service point.

Incoming customers are met by a customer service advisor who directs them to the best way to get service.

Customers can

  • access online services
  • contact telephone assistance
  • schedule an appointment for an office visit or for phone service.
  • drop off an application or supporting document.

It is also possible to schedule an appointment with the Matinkylä service point. To do so, customer can either go to or call Kela’s customer service.

Scheduling an appointment is a particularly good idea for customers whose circumstances have changed and who need help claiming benefits. With a scheduled appointment, Kela’s customer service advisors can look at each customer’s situation in advance.

The opening hours of the Matinkylä service point will remain unchanged. The service point is open between 9 am and 4 pm from Monday to Friday.
