<h1>Delivery of the 2023 edition of the maternity package has started </h1>

<p><strong>The first maternity packages of the 2023 edition will be delivered to the customers this week. The congratulation includes hints and tips on how to dress the baby and how to extend the lifecycle of the products.</strong> </p>

<p>The first maternity packages of the 2023 edition will be delivered to the customers this week. The date of the switchover to the new edition varies slightly from year to year because it depends on the number of applications for maternity grant that come in. </p>

<p>Of those who apply for a maternity grant, two out of three choose the maternity package and one out of three the cash payment of EUR 170. This year the maternity package contains a total of 38 different products. When selecting the products, the focus was on longevity and high quality. </p>

<h2>Letter of congratulation </h2>

<p>The letter of congratulations includes a familiar picture from day care centres, where hints and tips on how to dress the baby for different types of weather are shown beside a thermometer. Responsible sourcing has been emphasised in the procurement process of the maternity package and in the product selection. Responsibility is also a feature of the letter, which includes hints and tips on how to extend the lifecycle of the products. The letter also includes QR codes to the web publication Elämässä.fi, where you find hints and tips on how to take care of and recycle textiles. </p>

<p>The letter also gives information on parental allowances through infographics.</p>

<h2>Sami version of the book can be ordered</h2>

<p>Sami-speaking customers who are entitled to the package can order a Sami version of the book Ilo pisaroi! (in Sami Illu rišaida!, Ilo riškáttâl! and Rämm kuäškknjâst!). In connection with the order, Kela checks that the family has received a decision on the maternity grant and chosen the maternity package instead of the cash payment. A PDF version of a new book titled “Kis, kis kissanpentu”, available in all three Sami languages, can be downloaded online.</p>

<h1>Vuoden 2023 äitiyspakkaus nyt jaettavana </h1>

<p><strong>Ensimmäiset vuoden 2023 äitiyspakkaukset lähtevät asiakkaille tällä viikolla. Onnittelukirjeessä on mukana vinkit lapsen pukemiseen ja tuotteiden elinkaaren pidentämiseen. </strong></p>

<p>Ensimmäiset vuoden 2023 äitiyspakkaukset lähetetään asiakkaille jo tällä viikolla. Pakkauksen vaihtumisajankohta vaihtelee hieman vuosittain, sillä ajankohtaan vaikuttaa äitiysavustushakemusten määrä. </p>

<p>Äitiysavustuksen hakijoista kaksi kolmasosaa valitsee äitiyspakkauksen ja kolmannes 170 euron rahasumman. Äitiyspakkauksessa on tänä vuonna yhteensä 38 erilaista tuotetta. Tuotteiden valinnassa on painotettu pitkäikäisyyttä ja laatua. </p>

<h2>Onnittelukirje </h2>

<p>Onnittelukirjeessä on päiväkodeista tuttu kuva, jossa lämpömittarin viereen on koottu vinkit lapsen pukemiseen eri säätiloissa. Äitiyspakkauksen hankintaprosessissa ja tuotteiden valinnassa on kiinnitetty huomiota vastuullisuuteen. Vastuullisuus näkyy myös kirjeessä, jossa on vinkkejä tuotteiden elinkaaren pidentämiseen. Kirjeessä on mukana myös QR-koodit Elämässä.fi-verkkomediaan, josta voi poimia vinkit tekstiilien hoitamiseen ja kierrättämiseen. </p>

<p>Kirjeessä on myös etuustietoa vanhempainpäivärahoista infograafeina.</p>

<h2>Ensikirjan saamenkielinen versio on tilattavissa</h2>

<p>Pakkaukseen oikeutetut saamenkieliset asiakkaat voivat tilata saamenkielisen version Ilo pisaroi! -ensikirjasta (saameksi Illu rišaida!, Ilo riškáttâl! ja Rämm kuäškknjâst!). Tilauksen yhteydessä tarkistetaan, että perhe on saanut päätöksen äitiysavustuksesta ja valinnut äitiyspakkauksen rahallisen avustuksen sijaan. Lisäksi verkosta voi ladata pdf-version uudesta Kis, kis, kissanpentu-ensikirjasta kaikilla saamen kielillä.</p>

<p>De första moderskapsförpackningarna av årets modell skickas till kunderna redan den här veckan. Den nya förpackningen börjar delas ut vid lite olika tidpunkter varje år, eftersom antalet ansökningar om moderskapsunderstöd varierar från år till år.</p>

<p>Två tredjedelar av dem som ansöker om moderskapsunderstöd väljer moderskapsförpackningen och en tredjedel väljer den penningsumma på 170 euro som är ett alternativ till moderskapsförpackningen. I år innehåller moderskapsförpackningen sammanlagt 38 olika produkter. Vid valet av produkter har man lagt vikt vid produkternas livslängd och kvalitet. </p>

<h2>Följebrev </h2>

<p>I följebrevet finns en bild på en termometer och tips för hur man klär barnet för olika väder. I upphandlingsprocessen och vid valet av produkter till moderskapsförpackningen har hållbarhetsaspekten beaktats. Hållbarhetsaspekten betonas också i brevet, som innehåller tips för hur produkternas livslängd kan förlängas. I brevet finns också QR-koder till webbpublikationen Mittiallt.fi, där man kan hitta tips om textilvård och textilåtervinning. </p>

<p>Brevet också innehåller information om föräldradagpenningarna med hjälp av infografer.</p>

<h2>Barnets första bok på samiska</h2>

<p>Samiskspråkiga kunder som har rätt till förpackningen kan för första gången beställa den samiska versionen av barnets första bok Glädjedroppar! (på samiska Illu rišaida!, Ilo riškáttâl! och Rämm kuäškknjâst!). Dessutom går det att hämta en pdf-version av den nya första bilderboken Kiss, kiss, kissemirr på alla samiska språkvarieteter på webben. I samband med beställningen kontrolleras att familjen har fått beslut om moderskapsunderstöd och att man valt att få moderskapsförpackningen i stället för penningsumman.</p>
