Need help using our e-services? – Kela’s digital support services are ready to assist

A growing majority of Kela’s services can be easily accessed online, and you can do it too. We are always ready to help you as you take your time to learn. Help is available easily and quickly also when you use our e-services for the first time. Please do not hesitate to tell us if you need help. Our digital support services are ready to assist you also if you are acting on behalf of a child under 18 or another adult.
- You can get digital support services from Kela if you want to use our e-services but you need a bit of help to get started. Kela’s digital support services are available to customers who use or wish to use Kela’s e-services independently.
Kela’s digital support services provide step-by-step instructions on how to do the following:- filling in a benefit application in the OmaKela e-service
- sending supporting documents from your computer or phone
- viewing the decisions Kela has issued to you in OmaKela
- looking up information on Kela’s website
- using our benefit calculators to check, for example, how much you can get.
- Digital support services available at Kela service points and by phone

- We provide digital support services both by phone and at our service points.
- If you want to use the service by phone, your device must have access to the internet.
- Do not hesitate to contact us! We are always ready to help you when you need us.
- Log in to OmaKela securely
- Always use the address www.kela.fi to access our services
- Do not click on any links you see in search engines or email messages. There is no separate application for the OmaKela e-service. Use your browser to access it.
- Check the address bar for a lock symbol. If you see one, it means that your connection is secure.
- Select Log in and then OmaKela on the front page of Kela’s website.
- Use an electronic ID card, a mobile ID, your online banking credentials or the Hightrust.id mobile application in the Suomi.fi e-service to verify your identity when you log in to OmaKela.
- Always use the address www.kela.fi to access our services
- After you are done
- Log out of OmaKela
- Clear your browsing history and cache
- Close all browser windows (if you used a public device)
- Save the address to your browser’s bookmarks so that you can find it again easily when you need it.
