Press release

Kela has plans to modernise the information systems it uses for benefit administration and is launching a public procurement for this purpose.

Published 1/2/2024

Kela has launched a strategic development programme called Eepos. Its goal is to modernise the implementation of social security by the early 2030s. As part of the procurement process Kela has started a competitive tendering process.

Through this tendering process, Kela will acquire platforms that can be used to modernise benefit administration, digital services, customer relations management and communications. These platforms will allow the adoption of new services. As part of the procurement, Kela will acquire partners that can help to create the necessary services on the new platforms.

The procurement will be carried out as a competitive dialogue. The call for tenders has now been published. The goal is to complete the procurement process by early 2025.
