Contact Kela by mail

If you wish to send mail to Kela (for example an application and any documents you wish to append to it), you can address it to any Kela office. Use the customer service locator to find out the contact information.

All of the offices in the Helsinki region, for example, have the same mailing address, Kela, PO Box 20, 00232 HELSINKI, and the same fax number, 020 634 1599.

Any mail addressed to an office that has been shut down is forwarded, under an arrangement between Kela and the post office, to the appropriate Kela office.

For privacy reasons, e-mail cannot be used for official business such as submitting additional documentation to an application. Plans are underway to introduce a secure means of communication between Kela and individual customers. However, we will be happy to answer any general questions you may have via e-mail.
