Front-veteran's supplement

The front-veteran's supplement is payable to men and women living in Finland who have been awarded one of four service badges. Applications for the badges are no longer accepted.

Also persons residing abroad are eligible provided that they have received one of the four badges.

Persons involved in minefield clearance

The front-veteran's supplement can also be paid to those who have a certificate from the National War Archives showing that they participated in mine clearing operations between 1945 and 1952.

Amount and payment

The amount of the front-veteran's supplement is €49,22 per month. It is paid in the same way as national pensions. The front-veteran's supplement is not affected by the recipient's other income or assets.It is free from tax.
