Kela’s new newsletter quickly gains 10,000 subscribers
Kela’s new newsletter for individual customers has received a warm welcome. Over 10,000 subscribers have signed up to be kept up to date on recent developments in social security.
In August, Kela announced that it would begin publishing a newsletter aimed at individual customers.
The first issue was sent out on 1 September. The monthly newsletter provides an easy-to-understand overview of the benefits and services Kela offers and a look at changes in social security. The newsletter is available in Finnish, Swedish and English. Kela does not use subscribers’ customer data to personalise the contents of the newsletter.
“Our goal is for the newsletter to be a reliable and helpful source of fresh information on social security for people in different life situations. We explain new developments in the field in an engaging way that is also easy for our customers to understand,” says Emmi Räsänen, Marketing Communications Specialist at Kela.
The first issue of the new newsletter covered the pilot study on freedom of choice in healthcare for persons aged 65 or over and provided tips on how to call Kela and apply for benefits.
“This newsletter is a great addition to our communication channels, and it allows us to reach customers who do not use social media,” says Pipsa Lotta Marjamäki, Director of Communications at Kela.
In addition to the new newsletter for individual customers, Kela publishes several other newsletters that are targeted at partner organisations and stakeholders.
