Kela’s services mostly back to normal – outages may still occur
The technical problems affecting Kela’s services have largely been fixed. The disruption did not affect the payment of benefits to customers.
We have largely fixed the technical problems that began affecting Kela’s services on Thursday, 23 April. Our website, the OmaKela e-service and our phone customer service are currently working, but outages may still occur on Friday.
The service downtime did not affect the payment of benefits to customers, and Kela is able to process benefit matters.
“The technical problems that affected our services have now mostly been fixed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers,” says Jukka Melanen, IT Director at Kela.
The disruption in Kela’s services was caused by technical problems. There are no signs of a denial-of-service attack.
