<h1>Nina Nissilä appointed to the Board of Governors of the European Social Insurance Platform</h1>

<p><strong>The members of the European Social Insurance Platform (ESIP) have appointed Director Nina Nissilä to the ESIP Board of Governors.</strong></p>

<p>Nina Nissilä (MSocSc) was appointed to the Board of Governors of the European Social Insurance Platform (ESIP) at the ESIP General Assembly, which was held in Nice on 14 June 2023.</p>

<p>Based in Brussels, ESIP is a non-profit organisation with a membership of over 40 social security institutions from 17 European Union member states and from Switzerland. Its task is to monitor EU-level decision-making around social security and to offer jointly formulated perspectives and arguments for consideration by various institutions at the Union level. ESIP also organises events at which social security institutions from different countries can share information, experiences and best practices.</p>

<p>“I’m delighted to have been appointed to the ESIP Board of Governors”, Nina Nissilä says. “There is a lot of interesting work being done in the European Union on such issues as health and digitalisation, work that is also relevant to Kela. We see this as a welcome opportunity to follow and participate in developments that are taking place in the EU”, she says.</p>

<p>Nina Nissilä has served as Director at Kela since 2019. Her areas of responsibility include IT Services and Shared Services.</p>

<p><strong>European Social Insurance Platformin (ESIP) jäsenet ovat valinneet Kelan johtajan Nina Nissilän hallituksensa jäseneksi.</strong></p>

<p>YTM Nina Nissilä on valittu European Social Insurance Platformin (ESIP) hallituksen jäseneksi. Valinnan tekivät ESIPin jäsenet yleiskokouksessa Nizzassa 14.6.2023.</p>

<p>ESIP on Brysselissä toimiva voittoa tavoittelematon järjestö, johon kuuluu yli 40 sosiaaliturvalaitosta 17:stä Euroopan unionin jäsenvaltiosta sekä Sveitsistä. Järjestön tehtävänä on seurata EU-tason päätöksentekoa sosiaaliturvan saralla ja viedä yhdessä muodostettuja näkökulmia ja kannanottoja eteenpäin eri toimielimille EU-tasolla. ESIP järjestää myös tilaisuuksia, joissa eri maiden sosiaaliturvalaitokset jakavat toisilleen tietoa, kokemusta ja hyviä käytäntöjä.</p>

<p>– Olen todella ilahtunut, että minut valittiin ESIPin hallitukseen. Euroopan unionissa on tekeillä nyt paljon mielenkiintoisia ja myös Kelalle tärkeitä asioita esimerkiksi terveyden ja digitalisaation saralla. On hienoa, että pääsemme myös tätä kautta seuraamaan EU:ssa tekeillä olevia asioita ja vaikuttamaan niihin, kommentoi Nissilä valintaansa.</p>

<p>Nissilä on toiminut Kelassa johtajana vuodesta 2019. Hänen vastuualueellaan ovat IT-palvelut ja yhteiset palvelut.</p>

<h1>Nina Nissilä har valts till ledamot i styrelsen för European Social Insurance Platform</h1>

<p><strong>Medlemmarna i European Social Insurance Platform (ESIP) har valt Nina Nissilä, direktör vid FPA, till ledamot i sin styrelse.</strong></p>

<p>Samh.mag. Nina Nissilä har valts till ledamot i styrelsen för European Social Insurance Platform (ESIP). Valet gjordes av ESIP:s medlemmar vid generalförsamlingen i Nice 14.6.2023.</p>

<p>ESIP är en ideell organisation med säte i Bryssel. Organisationen omfattar över 40 socialförsäkringsinstitutioner från 17 medlemsländer i Europeiska unionen samt Schweiz. Organisationens uppgift är att följa beslutsfattandet om social trygghet på EU-nivå och att föra gemensamt formulerade synpunkter och ställningstaganden vidare till olika organ på EU-nivå. ESIP ordnar också möten där de olika ländernas socialförsäkringsinstitutioner utbyter information, erfarenheter och god praxis.</p>

<p>– Jag är väldigt glad över att jag blev invald i ESIP:s styrelse. Inom EU pågår nu mycket som är intressant och viktigt för FPA, till exempel inom området hälsa och digitalisering. Det är fint att vi också på det här sättet kan följa och påverka det som händer i EU, kommenterar Nissilä sitt inval.</p>

<p>Nissilä har varit direktör vid FPA sedan år 2019. Hennes ansvarsområden är IT-tjänster och gemensamma tjänster.</p>
