<p>Remote interpreting means interpreting where the client and the interpreter are not in the same place physically and the interpreting is done over a remote connection. You can use remote interpreting if you have a right to interpreting services for the disabled and the situation where interpreter assistance is needed is such that the assistance can be provided remotely.</p>

<h2>How to book remote interpreting</h2>

<p>If you want remote interpreting for your assignment, you must inform the Centre for Interpreting Services for the Disabled about this when you book an interpreter.</p>

<p>Also indicate if you wish that a certain program is used for the remote interpreting.</p>

<h2>How to prepare for remote interpreting&nbsp;</h2>

<p>Try to ensure that you are in a quiet and well-lit space.</p>

<p>To use remote interpreting, you must be comfortable using the appropriate equipment and software</p>

<p>You can use the video remote interpreter service for instance on your smartphone or tablet. If you do not have a suitable device, you can <a href="/interpreter-service-for-the-disabled-borrowed-device">ask Kela to lend you one</a>.</p>

<p>If you wish, you can get help with using the remote interpretation software. The interpreter will then provide guidance on how to use the program for remote interpreting. You can book guidance via the Centre for Interpreting Services for the Disabled.</p>

<h2>Remote interpreting service from Kela</h2>

<p>You can get remote interpretation also from the Centre for Interpreting Services for the Disabled if you only need it for a short period of time. No prior appointment is necessary. <p>Jos haluat, että tulkkauksesi toteutetaan etätulkkauksena, ilmoita siitä Vammaisten tulkkauspalvelukeskukseen, kun tilaat tulkin. Ilmoita tilauksessasi myös, jos toivot, että etätulkkaus tehdään tietyllä ohjelmistolla.</p>

<h2>Näin valmistaudut etätulkkaukseen</h2>

<p>Etätulkkaustilanteessa on hyvä olla rauhallisessa ja hyvin valaistussa paikassa.</p>

<p>Etätulkkauksen käyttö edellyttää, että osaat käyttää etätulkkauksessa käytettäviä laitteita ja ohjelmistoja.</p>

<p>Voit käyttää etätulkkausta esimerkiksi omalla älypuhelimellasi tai tabletillasi. Jos sinulla ei ole sopivaa laitetta, voit hakea sitä Kelalta.</p>

Med distanstolkning avses en tolkningssituation där kunden och tolken finns fysiskt på olika ställen och tolkningen sker via en distansförbindelse. Du kan använda distanstolkning om du har rätt till tolktjänst för personer med funktionsnedsättning och distanstolkning lämpar sig för tolkningsuppdraget.</p>

<h2>Så här beställer du distanstolkning</h2>

<p>Om du vill att tolkningen genomförs som distanstolkning ska du meddela detta till Centret för tolktjänst för personer med funktionsnedsättning när du beställer tolkning.</p>

<p>Ange också i beställningen om du vill att distanstolkningen genomförs med ett visst program.</p>

<h2>Så här förbereder du dig för distanstolkning</h2>

<p>Vid distanstolkning är det bra att vara på ett lugnt och väl upplyst ställe.</p>

<p>Användningen av distanstolkning förutsätter att du kan använda apparatur och program som används vid distanstolkning.</p>

<p>Du kan använda distanstolkning till exempel med din egen smarttelefon eller pekplatta. Om du inte har en lämplig apparat, kan du <a href="/tolktjanst-funktionsnedsattning-laneapparat">ansöka om en apparat från FPA</a>.</p>

<p>Om du vill, kan du få handledning i hur man använder programmet för distanstolkning. Under handledningen ger tolken råd i hur man använder programmet för distanstolkning. Du kan beställa handledning från Centret för tolktjänst för personer med funktionsnedsättning.</p>
