You qualify for school transport subsidy if you make at least 7 one-way trips that qualify for school transport subsidy to or from school per week.
If your travels change so that you make less than 7 one-way trips per week, you are not entitled to school transport subsidy. If you for instance travel to school 3 days per week and study remotely at home the rest of the days, you are not entitled to school transport subsidy. You must report the change.
If you wish to cancel the school transport subsidy for a specified period of time, file an application for school transport subsidy (form KM1) (pdf) with your school. If you wish to cancel the subsidy for the time being, inform Kela about this by sending a message via our e-service or by calling us.
