Adaptation training course for persons with ALS

Kela provides adaptation training courses for adults with ALS. The adaptation training is multidisciplinary and group-based.

When participating in adaptation training, you are provided with support to manage problems in your daily life and help to come to terms with your situation.

The adaptation training course for persons with ALS is suitable for you, if

  • you have been diagnosed with ALS
  • you are able to function independently enough to be able to participate in group-based rehabilitation.

The course is not suitable for you, if

  • you, in addition to ALS, also have some other illness which prevents you from participating in rehabilitation, or an acute or untreated substance abuse problem
  • the goals of your rehabilitation are more related to medical care and treatment than to rehabilitation per se.
