Rehabilitation courses and adaptation training courses for persons with multiple sclerosis

Kela provides rehabilitation and adaptation training courses for adults suffering from multiple sclerosis. The rehabilitation is multidisciplinary and group-based.

The rehabilitation course provides life management support and advice on how to come to terms with the challenges caused by the illness as well as help with practical problems. A requirement for participating in the course is that you are motivated to take part in group-based rehabilitation.

At the adaptation training course, you are provided with information and support to find solutions to problems in your daily life and help to come to terms with your situation.  The purpose of the rehabilitation services provided is to maintain and improve the clients’ ability to work, study and function, and to promote life management and self-care skills. At the course, you are also provided with information about your condition and about rehabilitation practices and support networks available in your area.
