Service of decisions by public notice

Kela can serve a decision by public notice if a customer is issued a decision but cannot be notified of it any other way. This can be the case for example when the customer’s contact information is not available to Kela.

We will post the public notice on Kela’s website. If your name is mentioned in the notice, you can view the decision issued in your case in the OmaKela e-service (available in Finnish and Swedish). You can also call our customer service if necessary.

The public notice includes the personal information required for the purpose, i.e., the customer’s name, a case number and the date on which the decision was issued.

Customers are considered to have been notified of a decision seven days after it was issued. The information will be removed from the website 14 days after it was posted.
