Changes to the kela.fi website

Some updates have been made to the look of the kela.fi website. The links to the main sections of the website are now near the top of the page, below the dark blue top bar.

We are updating the kela.fi website in stages. The first changes to the look of the website were introduced on 9 December and further changes will be made during early 2024. We will also be improving the customer focus of our content in 2024–2025.

The new menu layout was launched on 9 December. The links to the sections for Our Services and About Kela are now at the top of the site, immediately below the dark blue top bar. The new layout applies both to computers and mobile devices. The left-side navigation bar in the desktop view is no longer used on the front pages of the main sections, but it appears on all subpages. 

The layout and the user interface have been updated to improve scannability and help ensure that the various UI elements of the site will guide the user through the site more efficiently than before. We have also improved the functioning of our website on mobile devices, as more than 60 per cent of our customers now access kela.fi on their smartphones.

We value feedback from our customers

Work on developing our website continues. We include a link for user feedback at the bottom of each page. The feedback feature was updated on 9 December to allow for even more specific feedback. We use the feedback we receive to further develop the kela.fi website. 

Kela.fi has one of the highest visitor counts among Finnish websites, recording more than 60 million visits in 2022. The website caters to individual customers, employers, Kela’s partner organisations and other stakeholders.
